About Quay Garage Racing
Quay garage is one of the most successful privateer teams in the recent history
of the British Superbike Championship. We enjoyed three successful years with Suzuki,
which saw us lift the title in 2005. More recently, in 2009 we convincenly won the
Superbike Cup and out performed may multi million pound factory backed teams in
the process. The 2009 season also saw the team making history as the first ever
privateer team to qualify on the front row of the grid.
In 2009 Gary Mason contested and won the British Superbike cup Championship for
the quay garage Honda team. 2010 sees Tommy Bridewell take up the challenge as the
team enter their first season in the main championship.
Tommy will use Paul Bird prepared Honda Fireblade CBR1000RR’s in the twelve round
series which kicks off at Brands Hatch.
The reputation of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship is such that it not
only attracts the top flight British racers but many high level competitors from
around the world, competing on high powered, production based, 200mph race bikes.
It’s sustained growth, television, media coverage and record number of spectators
cements the series as the most important motorsport championships in the UK. A fact
not lost on the motorcycle manufactures who are keen to exploit the showroom appeal
of being associated with a winning bike on track. That appeal also crosses over
for sponsors who can build on the coverage received over a race weekend.
